In this paper, we construct a methodology for separating the divergences due to different topological manifolds in colored group field theory. The technique is based on a Theorem proved in the field of crystallizations, which put in relations dipole-contractions and the connected sum of manifolds. We use the formalism of cuts in order to separate divergences which are related to different topologies, and apply these to the connected sum of solid torii.
